About THINK

THINK is a society dedicated to informing and inspiring our members and raising money for charity through speaking events. Founded in 2003 by Alice Whiteley and Euan O’Sullivan, THINK aims to organise speaking events which will challenge our members’ thinking on issues from politics and ethics to sciences and the arts. THINK speakers are drawn from a variety of backgrounds and have included Lord Butler on the Butler Report and its findings, Sir Jeremy Greenstock on Iraq and the broader implications of the war, and Gareth Peirce on human rights post 9/11. As THINK is a charitable organisation, all our speakers nominate a charity for which they pledge to speak and all proceeds from each event are donated to the speaker’s chosen charity. To date, over £10,000 has been raised to support the work of our speakers’ charities.

In 2005, research and recruitment consultancy FreshMinds agreed to support THINK by organising future events on behalf of the society.
